Maureen keeps telling me that this is what the dogs do when I’m gone … it’s, apparently, the only time all three share the couch.
She said they thought it was me driving toward the house in the second photo.
Little cuties …
I’ve been putting off my next tat for, oh I don’t know, about a decade now. Fine, it’s been 14 years since my last one … what can I say? I like to procrastinate (apparently).
I’m posting this now to make myself accountable for getting off my ass and getting my new body art. I’ve also given myself a deadline.
Deadline: October 31 (deadline needs to be far out because I live 350 miles from the tattoo parlor I’ll go to).
The tats today: I have 4 tats on my lower body: a sun on the right calf, a “Steal Your Face” on the left thigh, and two Asian tattoos on the left ankle/foot (from my time living and traveling across Asia when I was in my 20s).
The next tat’s placement: Moving next to my forearms (just below my elbows). One on each forearm.
The next tat’s design: I am totally comfortable with how silly this will be (in fact, I revel in it). I have a paw print of Marley’s left front paw and one of Gertie’s right front paw. Marley’s paw print will be repeated around my left forearm and Gertie’s will go around my right forearm.
For whatever reason, Marley has always slept/sat on my left while Gertie has taken the right … hence the paw placements on my the respective forearms.
What can I say? I love my girls … and have little shame about looking a fool :).
On those rare morning when I am late coming home from CrossFit, this is what I see from the front door. Keep in mind, Dobie is 12 or 13, hates outside and only loves breakfast (well, he loves dinner and snack time too). Cracks me up every time I see him do this and I finally caught it on video!
